Answers to frequently asked questions about getting a job at CPP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the best way to apply for a position at CPP, Inc.?

A: The best way to apply to CPP is to use our job search and apply directly for a position. Before applying, you must complete your candidate profile. This helps recruiters match your qualifications with future job opportunities.

Tip: Keep your profile information current and up-to-date, including work history, job qualifications, phone number, email address, and mailing address. Also, keep track of your username and password in order to log back in to your account.

Q: Can I submit my résumé/CV as an attached file?

A: Definitely. In fact, we recommend attaching files (like your cover letter, résumé, references, etc.) to your profile. You can also type or paste your letter and/or résumé into the appropriate text field.

Q: How can I find out what positions are available?

A: Our job search organizes opportunities by location as well as by position or function. You can also use the keyword search.

Q: Are all CPP job opportunities listed on www.cpp.com?

A: Yes. All jobs are listed on our Careers page. New jobs are posted as they become available, so return often.

Tip: Be sure to read the full content of job postings carefully, particularly the minimum qualifications, before applying.

Q: What can I do if I’m not interested in any current listings but still want to join CPP, Inc.?

A: If you submit a candidate profile, we’ll keep you on file. Recruiters use your profile to check your qualifications for future job openings. You can also choose to be notified of new openings that match your profile—that way, when something opens up you’ll know right away.

Tip: For maximum visibility, apply directly to open positions—even if it means applying to multiple jobs at the same time.

Q: Do I need to answer all the questions on the application?

A: It’s a good idea to answer as many questions as you can. The more information you give us, the easier it is for recruiters to know if you’re right for the job, and the easier it is for you to know, too!

Q: How can I change my password? What can I do if I forget it?

A: You can change your password by using the "forgot password" function on the login portion of your application or profile. We’ll send you an email with instructions right away.

Q: Do I need to do anything once I’ve submitted my résumé/CV?

A: Be prepared to discuss your work history, qualifications, and acceptable salary range at any time after submitting your résumé/CV. You should also learn as much as you can about CPP, Inc. Current information can be found on the Careers page.

Q: After applying online, how can I get in touch with a hiring manager or recruiter?

A: Actually, you don’t need to follow up. If you’ve applied for a job online or submitted your profile, we’ll review your application and get in touch if there’s a good match.

Q: What happens to my application once I’ve applied?

A: If you’ve applied for a specific job, the hiring manager or a recruiter will review your application and get in touch if we want to know more. If you’ve submitted a profile, we’ll contact you if something opens up that looks like a good fit.

Q: If I change my email address, should I create a new account with my new email address?

A: No, that’s not necessary. Just log in to your existing account and change your email in the personal information section. Changing it here will also change the address you use to log in. Please don’t create multiple log-in accounts—it could delay your consideration for the perfect job!

Q: What if I try to apply but get an error message?

A: Please report the problem right away by sending an email to tms@cpp.com.

Q: Can you provide an overview of your hiring process?

A: Sure! While some specifics may vary by location or position, here is the general path you will follow when searching for a career at CPP:

  • After you have applied for a position with CPP, a hiring manager and/or recruiter will review your profile and résumé.
  • If your skills and experience appear to match an open position, a recruiter will contact you to discuss your background and the position, and advise you about what to expect in the interview process.
  • Your first interview will likely be a phone conversation with the recruiter who is working to fill the opening. If a potential match is identified, you will be invited to an in-person job interview.
  • At the job interview, you will most likely meet with several interviewers. Before you leave, it's a good idea to inquire about next steps and whether there is a time frame for making a decision.
  • Due to the high volume of résumés we receive, we cannot contact everyone who submits their résumé for consideration. If you are not selected, your résumé will remain in our database.
