What You'll Learn
The FIRO® Certification Program is designed to equip you with the knowledge to guide your organization toward greater self-understanding and self-awareness, improved one-to-one relationships and teamwork, career development, and greater leadership development. You will walk out of the program with the information and experience you need to professionally and ethically administer the FIRO-B and FIRO Business instruments and interpret results. The interactive two-day workshop covers the design, scoring, and interpretation of the FIRO instruments with a focus on the key applications of individual development, working with teams and groups, and leadership development. All the knowledge you need to successfully complete the certification exam is covered in the reading assignments and is brought to life in hands-on, practical learning sessions covering the following topics:
- Introducing the FIRO-B® and FIRO Business® instruments
- Using the FIRO® instruments with teams and work groups
- Conducting a group feedback session
- Case study activity
- Exploring interpersonal needs and team applications
- Team application activities and case studies
- Will Schutz’s theory of interpersonal needs
