CPP Releases Teambuilding Program Based on Myers-Briggs®Assessments

Includes Everything Needed for Trainers to Conduct Complete Workshops

Palo Alto, CA - September 3, 2003 - CPP, Inc., a leading provider of practical solutions for training, development and career management, has released updated second editions of its best-selling MBTI® Teambuilding Program: Leader's Resource Guide and its Introduction to Type® and Teams booklet.

Different people receive and process information and relate to the world around them in very different ways. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument is the premier assessment tool for understanding individual personality differences (type preferences) and applying that understanding to the ways we work and interact. When team members understand their own preferences and those of their teammates, the resulting improved communication can mean the difference between success and failure for the entire team.

The MBTI® Teambuilding Program provides everything a consultant or trainer needs to conduct a complete teambuilding session. Its flexible format permits workshops from one hour up to a full day. The second edition features a new, more user-friendly training design with updated exercises and handouts as well as Microsoft PowerPoint® support. "Our Teambuilding Program is a perfect example of how we are making Myers-Briggs® tools directly relevant to organizations," said Dave Krantz, president of CPP.

The MBTI® Teambuilding Program has been one of CPP's most widely used application tools since its introduction in 1992. "The new second edition takes full advantage of CPP's latest research into personality type as well as our combined experience in applying Myers-Briggs assessments in organization development worldwide," observed coauthor Sandra Krebs Hirsh.

Trainers using the MBTI® Teambuilding Program: Leader's Resource Guide (2nd ed.) to conduct workshops will find that Introduction to Type® and Teams (2nd ed.) is perfect for each participant to use and keep. It provides basic information about Myers-Briggs personality types and specific suggestions for the use of Myers-Briggs results in addressing six core issues: communication, team culture, leadership, change, problem solving/conflict resolution, and stress.

The new Leader's Resource Guide, including PowerPoint CD and reproducible masters, costs $230. The new Introduction to Type® and Teams booklet costs $10. All Teambuilding Program participants should complete a Myers-Briggs assessment if they have not already done so. MBTI qualification is required in order to administer the assessment and interpret individual results. Qualification is not required for a trainer to purchase the Leader's Resource Guide or to lead a teambuilding seminar; however, it is highly recommended.
