Cpp, Inc. Announces Alliance With Innovative HR Solutions For First Venture Into The Middle East

Dubai-based Company Is First to Represent Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Assessment and CPP’s Other Major Product Lines in the Gulf Cooperation Council Region

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September 4, 2007—CPP, Inc. announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Dubai-based Innovative HR Solutions to administer and sell the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment and other major product lines in the region known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),  a trade bloc comprising the Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This alliance represents CPP’s maiden venture into the Middle East, as well as the first opportunity for people in the GCC to become qualified to administer CPP’s exclusive MBTI personality assessment.

Under the new arrangement, human resources trainers, business consultants, multinational companies, and other interested parties within the GCC can benefit from the MBTI instrument’s insight into personality preferences. Additionally, Innovative HR Solutions is currently hosting the first-ever MBTI qualification training in the Middle East with world-renowned MBTI assessment expert Linda Kirby. This is the first qualification program of its kind to be offered not only in the GCC, but in the Middle East in general.

“The UAE has always been diverse, with people from all over the world coming here for work and leisure,” said Nanette Fairley, Managing Director, Innovative HR Solutions.  “The MBTI tool can help our multicultural workforces communicate more effectively, work together more productively, and positively manage the fast-paced change that the UAE is experiencing.”

The availability of CPP products in the GCC is effective immediately, giving companies in the Middle East access to the most widely-used development tool in business today.  The MBTI qualifications program takes place September 2-5, 2007.

“Representing CPP products and services in the Middle East is an opportunity several companies have sought,” said Michael Segovia, Director of Business Development, CPP.  “We selected Innovative HR Solutions as our representative because of their expertise and breadth of experience, and we believe this partnership will further distinguish them from the multitude of HR companies in this region.”

With more than two million administrations per year, the Myers-Briggs instrument continues to be the most widely-used personality assessment in the world for understanding “normal” personality differences and using this insight to enhance and improve individual, team, and organizational performance. Developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and Katherine Cook Briggs to make Carl Jung’s theory of psychological type understandable and useful in everyday life, the instrument is used within a multitude of fields.

About the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Instrument

The MBTI instrument is the most trusted and widely used personality assessment in the world. Participants identify their preferences on four dichotomies—Extraversion–Introversion, Sensing–Intuition, Thinking–Feeling, and Judging–Perceiving—which are then sorted into one of 16 possible four-letter types. Learning about MBTI type helps people understand and appreciate individual differences and uncover more effective ways to communicate and work with one another.
