CPP, INC.’s Interactive Web Communitry for Independent Consultants Surpasses Membership of 1,000

ICON Success Program Social Media Platform Provides Unprecedented Resources for Independent Professional Development Experts

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., August 21, 2008 - CPP, Inc.,an industry leader in research, training, and organizational development tools including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument, today announced that its ICON Success Program - an interactive Web community for independent consultants (ICONs) in management training, coaching, and organizational development - has surpassed its goal of 1,000 members.

"This milestone indicates we are achieving our objective of creating an online environment with all the tools our ICONs need to succeed,” said Mike Shur, MBTI Product Marketing Manager, CPP, Inc. “It also demonstrates the power of social media platforms to enable the free exchange of information between companies and their distributors.”

The interactive Web community gives ICONs convenient, online access to all of CPP’s professional development resources in one easy-to-navigate location, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate directly with CPP and other ICONs. Community members can post comments to blogs, start their own forums, or join those of others, and read the interactions of all the other members. CPP also offers various awards and incentives through the site.

The collaborative platform also gives CPP an insider’s look into ICONs’ opinions and challenges, helping increase the company’s awareness of issues and concerns of greatest interest to career, personal, and organizational development professionals.

Collaboration was built into the DNA of the site by bringing together CPP and the Association for Psychological Type International (APTi) under the direction of Jane Kise, current APTi president, and John Lord, executive director.  Their close working relationship and enthusiasm made possible the high quality content on the site.  Suzanne Brue, incoming APTi president, was also instrumental in creating content for the site.

“Our ICON Success Program enhances what was already a mutually beneficial relationship between CPP and its network of independent consultants,” said Dennis Diligent, VP Sales and Professional Services, CPP, Inc. “We provide the ICONs with the latest, most up-to-date information and tools to help them build and grow their business, as well as a sounding board to express concerns and communicate with us. They give CPP a frontline view into what is happening in the world of training and organizational development.”
