MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 15, 2010 — CPP, Inc.,
announced today that it has been selected by the American Society for
Training & Development (ASTD), the world’s largest association dedicated to training and development, to participate in its newly
launched Professional Partner program. Additionally, CPP announced that its new public Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and CPI 260®
Certification Programs have been awarded approval for continuing education credits by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI),*
International Coach Federation (ICF), and National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).**
ASTD’s Professional Partner program is designed to encourage employee learning and development by connecting training professionals with
the performance improvement–related products and services they need to accomplish their goals. CPP, which provides a full suite of
products and services to help people and organizations be their best, will offer ASTD members solutions, guidance, and support ranging
from team building, leadership development, and coaching to conflict management, career development, selection, and retention.
“Understanding of individual preferences and styles is a key ingredient in the ongoing effort to re-skill a severely disrupted U.S.
workforce,” said Jeff Hayes, President and CEO, CPP. “This partnership, as well as these qualifications, represent significant strides
in CPP’s efforts to enable the U.S. workforce to continue adapting to changing conditions worldwide so that it remains competitive in a
remade world economy.”
As part of its ongoing effort to give training and development professionals a one-stop resource center, CPP has recently launched
public certification programs for the Myers-Briggs® and CPI 260® (www.cpp.com/certification10) assessments designed to help participants
realize the instruments’ full range of benefits. To watch a video featuring MBTI Certification Program participant Shaine Helsloot of
UCSF, Center for the Health Professions, visit www.cpp.com/certification10.
"The CPI 260 assessment was presented in a most professional and effective manner,” said certification program participant Stephen Paul
Santore, Principal, Santore Partners Executive Search. “I believe it will yield powerful and predictive information regarding the
leadership potential of our candidates."
These programs, now approved for continuing education credits by HRCI, ICF, and NBCC, provide professionals with a wealth of knowledge
related to the Myers-Briggs and CPI 260 assessments that can be used to further the interests of individuals and organizations through
performance improvement.
“CPP’s certification program opened my eyes to numerous ways that the Myers-Briggs assessment can be employed to further the careers of
my clients,” said Darrell Warner, Warner & Associates, Founder/Coach. “The current business climate requires that professionals view
themselves and the people they work with from multiple perspectives—this training program has given us the tools to provide that
understanding.”
